Black Cherry and Amaretti Gelato

Ingredients per 4 Portions

Milk, 1 cup
Cream, 1/2 cup
Egg yolks, 8
Cherries in syrup, 3.53 oz
White Sugar, 1/2 cup
Amaretti, 3 1/2 oz

Procedure

Heat milk and cream.
Beat egg yolks with sugar and add them to the milk and heavy cream.
Let it to cool and pour it in the gelato machine.
After about 20 minutes, add cherries with their syrup and crumbled amaretti.
The gelato will be ready in about 40 minutes.
