Di Gavi in Gavi, the fourth edition of the expected event of our partners Gavi

While the Gavi DOCG matures in the vineyard, on Sunday August 28th, during the long-awaited fourth edition of “Di Gavi in Gavi”, you will have the chance to taste the Grande bianco Piemontese together with many Stars of the Big Italian Cuisine. The Consorzio Tutela del Gavi has invited on the “enchanted hills” of Gavi five starred chefs. Ivano Ricchebono of The Cook in Arenzano, Federico Gallo of La Locanda del Pilone in Alba, Andrea Ribaldone of Ai due Buoi in Alessandria and Fabrizio Tesse of La Locanda di Orta, each one holder of a Michelin Star, will compete in two shows cooking, hosted by Lisa Canali. The chefs and the event will be hosted by Chef Bruno Barbieri, a carrer with seven Michelin Stars and merciless judge at Masterchef Italia.

The event is the main moment of the project “Piemonte, Buone storie di Qualità”, presented in May in Stupinigi by the Consorzio Tutela del Gavi, promoting an original match of regional products, in collaboration with some chosen PDO: the Robiola di Roccaverano produced in the districts of Asti and Alessandria, the Crudo di Cuneo, the Tinca Gobba Dorata of Pianalto di Poirino in the districts of Turin, the Riso di Baraggia Biellese e Vercellese, to draw the attention on the agribusiness tourism where the culture of the territory is linked to the food and wine.

On Sunday afternoon, in the outdoor Corte delle Chiacchiere, “Di Gavi in Gavi” will host four shows cooking. The four Piedmontese PDO products and other products typical of the area will be the protagonist ingredients of the shows cooking.

Leading the four Chefs there will be the presenter, food blogger, writer Lisa Canali, while Chef Bruno Barbieri will visit the courtyards (of Templari, of Mondo, of Ovada CGDO) to choose the best match between the Gavi wine and the typical local products.

One of the innovations of this year is the #storiedelgavi social contest , which will give to Facebook followers and fans the chance to win a dinner in an exclusive restaurant in Gavi. Furthermore, on Sunday evening starting from 8.30 p.m., the wineries will stay open to the public, to continue celebrating with visits and tastings.
